Deputy Mayor of Shymkent Ergali Bilisbekov today received citizens online on social issues. Complaints were mainly made about the protection and support of children with disabilities, as well as housing. The deputy mayor considered the issues of concern to the population and gave them legal advice.
According to the city Department of Employment and Social Protection, currently 36,537 people with disabilities are registered in Shymkent, 6418 of them are children under 18 years old. Medical and social institutions located in the city provide special social rehabilitation and treatment for children with disabilities. In addition, there is a specially equipped "Invataxi" for people with disabilities and a "Social Taxi" for veterans and invalids of the Great Patriotic War, people with disabilities of groups 1-2, who travel to medical institutions and public places.
During the reception, the deputy governor of the city gave a number of instructions to the heads of relevant departments in accordance with the requests of citizens, and said that the problems of each citizen will be monitored.
It should be noted that the list of departments headed by Deputy Mayor of Shymkent E. Bilisbekov has changed. Yergali Dauletbekovich currently heads the departments of housing, employment and social protection, quality and control of the urban environment, state labor inspection, public procurement, development of the urban environment.
