Sanzhar Turganbek, an 11th-grade student of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Taldykorgan, considers himself lucky. For his high academic achievements, the school allowed him to take summer language courses in the USA, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

The summer course lasted six weeks. Students worked on their projects for 4-5 hours and then listened to lectures by specialists in the fields of engineering, physics, and chemistry. According to Sanjar, the program was very intensive.
