According to the Almaty City Police Department, the traffic accident occurred on October 23 at 12:00 noon in the Medeu district.
The driver of the "Foton" bus, while driving west along Haliullin street, lost control of the steering wheel at the intersection of Tattibekov street, went to the side of the road and hit a traffic light and a gas pipe, the department reported.
A 59-year-old pedestrian was injured in the accident. He was taken to the hospital.
