A case of anthrax infection was registered in Astana. This was announced by the Ministry of Health, reported the national portal "Adyrna" with reference to KazInformation.
According to the Ministry, as of November 10, 2023, 38 cases of anthrax infection were registered in the country.
In particular, 19 cases were registered in Zhambyl region, 15 cases in Akmola region, 3 cases in Karagandy region, and 1 case in Astana (from abroad without symptoms). According to the agency, one case in the Karagandy region ended in a murder.
According to the agency, the latest data on anthrax infection was registered on November 24 in Karagandy region. 31 people were in contact with the infected patient. Now the period of medical supervision approved for all of them has expired. That is, the symptoms of anthrax were not detected from the people who were in contact.
