Today, the draft Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the ratification of the special agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the French Republic on the implementation of cooperation in the field of combating global warming" was discussed at the plenary session of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Almasadam Maidanuly Satkaliyev, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, made a report on this.
Kazybek Isa, a deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, asked a sharp question about the contract between the two countries in connection with this draft law:
- First of all, I would like to thank Minister of Energy Almasadam Maidanuly for making his report in Kazakh, that is, the state language. Before this, the Minister of Industry and Construction, Kanat Sharlapaev, made a speech in Kazakh as much as possible and tried to answer in Kazakh.
We hope that our ministers will gradually learn the language of their country. In thirty years, we have reached a situation where the Kazakh minister is happy to speak Kazakh!?.
My question is that the contract between Kazakhstan and France was signed last year on November 30, 2022 in Paris, the capital of France.
Kazakhstan and France are the two countries making the agreement! And why was the agreement made in Kazakh, French and Russian in the languages of the three countries?
The two countries that are making an agreement are Kazakhstan and France! Why is there a need for the language of the third country Russia!?.
France does not need the Russian language! So the contract in Russian was made for our Government, which does not know the official language of Kazakhstan?!. How long are you going to understand contracts only in Russian?
Yesterday, the contract with Singapore also included the Russian language.
It's been 32 years since we gained independence, how long will the addition of the Russian language continue, isn't it time to stop?
