Turkey's first cosmonaut Alper Gezeravzy will leave for the International Space Station on January 18, the national portal "Adyrna" reports.

A rocket with a crew of 4 will be launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA. Axiom Mission 3 (Ax-3) is scheduled to lift off from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida on Thursday, January 18 at 4:49 p.m. local time. It is 3:59 tonight in Astana time.

Astronauts from Italy, Turkey and Sweden will also be on board the liner. At the ISS, they conduct a number of scientific experiments in the fields of biology, medicine and genetics.
