Amir Omarkhanov took part in the Australian Open tennis tournament among teenagers and won the first round, the national portal "Adyrna" reported with reference to the Vesti.kz website.
16-year-old Kazakh Amir Omarkhanov won a sensational victory in the match against Italian Federico China.

In the first round, the Italian won 6:0. But in the remaining two sets, Kazakhstan made a comeback and equalized with the score 6:3 - 6:3. The match lasted 1 hour and 37 minutes.

In the next round, Amir Omarkhanov met with British Victor Friedrich, who defeated Peruvian Luis Jose Nakamine.

It should be noted that at the beginning of the year, tennis player Amir Omarkhanov rose from the 58th place to the 28th place in the ITF ranking among teenagers under the age of 18 and joined the top 30 tennis players in the world.
