Over the past 24 hours, units of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) have killed 455 Taliban militants. Another 232 people were injured. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.
Currently, the fighting is taking place in Nangarhar, Paktia, Paktika, Logar, Kandahar, Herat, Faryab, Jowzjan, Balkh, Samangan, Helmand, Tahar, Kunduz, Baghlan and Kapisa provinces.
It should be reminded that as part of the withdrawal of Western coalition troops, members of the radical organization took control of the border areas with Iran, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, China and Pakistan. Gen. David Petraeus, a former commander of the international contingent in Afghanistan, says a bloody civil war could break out in the country.
