The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan spoke about our compatriots who were killed and injured in the earthquake in Turkey, the correspondent of "Adyrna" reported.
The agency announced that it will provide maximum assistance to bring the bodies of Adil Kadyrbekov and Mirbolat Kurmashev, who died as a result of a house collapse in Antakya, Hatay province, to the Motherland. The bodies of the deceased are expected to be delivered to Kazakhstan on February 11 by regular Antalya-Almaty flight. All costs will be borne by the state.
"Sabina Mamadyarova, who survived the earthquake, is being treated in the state hospital of Adana. Yesterday, he underwent an operation on his injured hand, and his health condition is stable. Diplomats are in regular contact with treating doctors, and the necessary medical assistance is being provided. Today the consul will visit him personally. Since the news about the devastation caused by the earthquake in Turkey, the Ministry's 24/7 hotline has received more than 1,000 calls. Requests to find relatives were received mainly in Turkey.
At the same time, calls and requests are coming to our diplomats in Turkey, who during these few days have determined the location of more than 150 compatriots and helped establish contacts with their relatives in Kazakhstan," the report said.
In the last 4 days, 124 citizens of Kazakhstan were deported from the provinces of Gaziantep, Mersin, Kahramanmarash, Diyarbakir, Sanliurfa, Adana, Konya and Elazik, including 58 citizens of Kazakhstan who were brought to Astana by repatriation flights.
