Historic victory: Kazakhstani sharpshooters became prize-winners at the world competition

The Kazakhstan national team achieved a historic success at the Archery World Championships. This victory is remarkable as it brought the country its first medal in this sport in 32 years. The news was announced by Minister of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan, Yerbol Myrzabossynov, reports Adyrna.

Representing the nation on the global stage, Adelya Zhexsenbinova, Viktoria Lyan, and Roksana Yunusova demonstrated their skill and determination, marking a new milestone in the history of Kazakhstani sports.

“On the instruction of the Head of State, large-scale efforts are underway to modernize the sports sector in our country. This is an important initiative aimed at improving efficiency and nurturing new champions. Today, domestic sports are developing at a new pace,” the minister wrote.

The Kazakhstan Archery Federation also played a significant role in securing this medal. Under the leadership of Federation President Azamat Usimbekov and Secretary General Eset Baitassov, more than 7,000 athletes across 15 regions of Kazakhstan are currently engaged in archery.

Experts note that this achievement is clear evidence of the strong foundation of archery in the country and shows great potential for further international success.
