The head of the ICH 167/3 correctional facility in Shymkent was sentenced to 9 years. The former head of the penitentiary institution "Region 31" was sentenced to prison for taking bribes from convicts, the national portal "Adyrna" reported with reference to the TV channel "Astana".
According to the chairman of the Al-Farabi district court, Zhunusbekov, as the head of the institution, received bribes in the amount of 4 million tenge from six convicts.
