A strong explosion occurred at a gas filling station located near a gas supply facility in Samarkand region, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
On the evening of May 9, there was a fire at a gas station in Pakhtachy district. This led to an explosion, which was caught on video circulating on social media.
The Ministry of Emergencies of Uzbekistan reported that the report about the fire was received on May 9 at 21:25. 5 firefighting and emergency rescue teams were sent to the scene, the fire was isolated at 22:30 and extinguished at 23:00.
Three Isuzu cars and their 50-liter liquid gas bottles were damaged in the fire at the gas station.
It was assumed that the incident was caused by a violation of safety regulations. According to preliminary information, one person was injured. Elimination of the consequences of the incident is underway.
