A state of emergency has been declared in Kokshetau due to flooding. The mayor of the city, Baurzhan Gaysa, said about this, "Adyrna" correspondent reported.
The head of the city announced that the excessive rise of the water level in the Kylchakty river caused inconvenience to the residents.
"A state of emergency was introduced to stabilize the situation. In the framework of this, the amount of damage will be determined, and the issue of financial assistance will be resolved through the commission. An emergency headquarters was established to eliminate the damages caused by the flood. Evacuation of residents in flooded areas is underway, currently about 100 people have been placed in specially prepared places. I thank my compatriots for understanding the situation and for providing all possible help in the fight against floods," he said.
Baurzhan Gaisa noted that assistance will be provided to the injured.
