The potential of women as one of the growth points in the improvement of the quality of the public administration system and the development of SMEs was highlighted at the Technowomen Kazakhstan panel session "Women's opportunities in the digital economy", which took place within the framework of the 2022 Digital bridge forum, the largest in Central Asia.
Technowomen, an active movement to support women in technology, emphasized the importance of the transition to the digital economy and the opportunities it opens up.

Asem Nurgalieva, the moderator of the session, executive director of PCB, also shared information about the fact that almost 80% of SMEs are considered to be weak or not at all technological, although this is the basis for introducing diversity in the economy of Kazakhstan. "If we think that analog SMEs will make the famous quantum leap, we are mentally retarded. A customer accustomed to using the digital services of large corporations can no longer support the low-tech business models of SMEs that are forced to change. This is a good opportunity for women," she said.

For example, 43% of company heads in the SME sector are women, 52.57% of them are private entrepreneurs.
