Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev met with the heads of foreign diplomatic missions, "Adyrna" correspondent reportsedwith reference to Akorda.
The head of the state paid attention to the participants of the meeting and he noted that the meeting with the diplomatic corps was a good tradition aimed at strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
The President told the heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations registered in Kazakhstan that large-scale reforms in various fields are being carried out in the country. He also paid special attention to issues of human rights protection, including the abolition of the death penalty, adoption of constitutional amendments, and increasing the role and status of the Human Rights Commissioner.
- We firmly adhere to the postulate "we are different, but equal" in our policy. Therefore, important measures are being taken to increase the role of civil society, to unite various public forces, to implement the principle of "the state that listens to the voice of the people", the Head of State said.
