36-year-old Vidadi Mardanov, president of NFC grappling and MMA league, was shot dead in Derbent, Dagestan. This was announced by Telegram channel 112, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
According to information, the multiple world champion in grappling and jiu-jitsu went to the door of his house at four in the morning to talk to someone, and then he was found dead.
Later, a video of the moment Mardanov was killed was published on the Internet. In the video, it is seen that two people knocked Vidadi to the ground. Later, one of the participants in the fight shot at the ground from a hunting rifle, but the bullet bounced off the asphalt and hit Mardanov.
A 27-year-old suspect has been arrested. And the person who was next to him ran away. Investigators are determining the circumstances of the incident.
