The anti-corruption service of the Turkestan region is conducting a pre-trial investigation against the accountants of the educational departments of Shardara and Saryagash districts.
"These persons are suspected of systematically embezzling large amounts of budget funds. "According to the investigation, the suspects embezzled approximately 2.6 billion tenge by transferring funds to the accounts of persons not working in the field of education, as well as calculating high salaries for school employees in the period 2020-2023," the report said.
