This year, a record amount of 2.6 billions tenge will be spent on New Year's decorations in the capital, reports the national portal "Adyrna" referring to Orda.kz.
The city of Astana will be full of New Year's mood this year. Based on the data, such an amount has never been allocated to districts before:
Esil district: 1.6 billion tenge
Nura district: 500 million tenge
Almaty district: 275 million tenge
Baikonur district: 247 million tenge
Saryarka district: 45 million tenge
It was reported that the administration will decorate pedestrian streets, Abai and Astana squares, First President's Park, squares in front of KazUTOB, Youth Theater, "Almaty Arena", as well as attractions in each district. In addition, it is planned to open 22 ice rinks with various entertainment programs.
