Today is the birthday of lawyer Akhmet Birimzhanov, who was the Minister of Justice of Alashorda, a member of the 1-2 State Duma.
Birimzhanov Akhmet Korganbekuly is a public figure, a member of the government of Alashorda, a lawyer, born in 1871 in the village No. 1 of Tosyn boly, Torgay district. He is a direct descendant of Zhanibek Batyr.
In 1906-1907, he was elected as a deputy of the 1st and 2nd State Dumas of Russia from Torgai region. He was an active member of the Muslim faction in the Duma. At the meeting of the 1st Duma, the issue of introducing Kazakh deputies to the agrarian commission was raised. In 1906, together with a group of figures, he submitted an inquiry to the Council of Ministers about illegal settlers in the Kazakh steppe and their unjustly occupied lands. He raised specific issues related to Kazakh land in the II Duma and participated in the preparation of the draft agrarian law with the participation of the Muslim faction.
From the spring of 1917, he was appointed the Torgay district commissar of the Provisional Government, and later the Kostanay district commissar of the Provisional Government. On July 21-26, 1917, at the first all-Kazakh congress held in Orynbor, he was elected a deputy to the All-Russian Congress on behalf of the Kazakhs of Torgai region, and at the second all-Kazakh congress, A. Birimzhanov was elected to the Alashorda government - National Council. In December of the same year, he was one of the 14 members of the Torgai regional committee of the "Alash" party. He participated in the meeting of Alashorda government members held in Ufa and became the minister of justice in Alashorda.
In 1918-1926, he served as a legal advisor of Semipalatinsk, a member of the board, and head of the department of the Internal Affairs, Law and People's Committees of the Kazakh SSR of the cities of Orynbor and Kyzylorda.
A. Birimzhanov died in 1927 in Leningrad (St. Petersburg) and was buried in the Volkov cemetery.
