The launch program from the Baikonur Cosmodrome has been completed

Today, on December 16, 2023, the Russian Arktika-M satellite  was launched from the 31st pad of the Baikonur cosmodrome. The launch was carried out at the appointed time, at 15:17:48 Astana time, reported the national portal "Adyrna".
According to tradition, the launch from Baikonur was broadcast live by the Roscosmos television studio. According to the report, the separation of parts of the rocket launcher and the launch of the upper stage of the "Fregat" and the space vehicle "Arktika" into the transport orbit took place in regular mode.

In February 2021, the first such device - Arktika-M, launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, together with the second satellite "Arktika-M" will provide round-the-clock weather monitoring of the surface and seas of the Arctic Ocean, as well as stable and reliable communication.

With this launch, Roscosmos completed the current year's launch program from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. In 2023, a total of 9 launches from Baikonur were carried out under the International Space Station and commercial launch program.
