Prosecutors have exposed the theft of budget funds allocated for the support of national cinematography in Almaty, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
According to the results of the inspection of the "Shaken Aimanov Kazakhfilm" joint-stock company, the Prosecutor's Office of the city of Almaty started a pre-trial investigation into the fact of the theft of budget funds in a very large amount. According to the data, more than 400 millions tenge were embezzled for the production of the film.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Department of Economic Investigation.
Let's remind that in January 2021, during the filming of the historical series "Kasym Khan", it became known that about 30 millions tenge were stolen. In the course of the investigation, it was proved that the persons involved in the mentioned crime stole the budget funds allocated for the purchase of pyrotechnic items using their position.
