The Kazakh professor entered the list of the most prestigious scientists in the world for the second year in a row

Professor Ratbay Myrzakulov of the Eurasian National University entered both rankings as the most cited scientist in 2022 and the list of the most cited scientists in the world in his entire career for the second year in a row. "Adyrna" national portal reported with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The rating analyzes the achievements of 100,000 of the best scientists in the world, divided into 22 scientific fields. Nominees were selected based on high publication activity and author citation rates in the Scopus database.

"For me, the importance of this achievement is that our science was recognized by the world public. I am happy to understand that our university and our country have reached such a level. I can say that such a result can be achieved through hard work," says the professor of NSU.

According to the latest information from the Elsevier scientific publication, the annual ranking is made by Stanford University analysts on the basis of a systematic bibliometric study.

The study consists of two of their databases. The first list contains the most cited scientists of the entire career, the second the most cited scientists of the last year.

It should be noted that academician Ratbai Myrzakulov is the author of more than 400 scientific works, the impact factor of more than 300 articles published in top foreign journals. Currently, Professor Myrzakulov's Hirsch index on Scopus is equal to 48, and the citation index reaches 8189.

In 2022, the scientist was awarded the international Scopus prize for scientific achievements in physics and astronomy. Scientist Ratbay Myrzakulov leads the main rating of professors and teachers of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the tenth year in a row.
