Deputy Yerlan Sairov spoke about the state's debt at the meeting, "Adyrna" correspondent reported.
Deputy Yerlan Sairov said that the state debt regulation mechanisms should be considered in the budget code.
"Including the quasi-public sector, the public debt has reached 105 billion dollars, which is 40 percent of the entire budget. If the public debt reaches 40 percent, then financial problems will begin in the country. Earlier, some countries, Argentina, Greece, lost their sovereignty due to the same problem. This primarily affects the national security of the country. As you know, some states have lost their sovereignty due to such debt problems, this is a very important issue," said the assemblyman.
Minister of Finance Yerulan Zhamaubayev answered the question of the deputy.
"This problem worries not only the deputies, but also us, because the increase in the state debt is not good. Nevertheless, today all covenants are at a high level. We are taking measures not to increase the state debt," Zhamubayev said.
The draft budget code was reviewed and adopted in the first reading. But there was a lot of criticism from the deputies. Therefore, in the second reading, it was suggested to the Government to introduce the necessary changes.
"The issue of the general public debt is under the special control of the state. The Budget Code, as I said during the analysis, the experts of the EU international organizations... study is very effective, and it should also be a clear document. As a mechanism, we can probably show the deficit, but the debts aimed at paying off these deficits, in which articles we will show it - we will work together with the Supreme Audit Chamber and the Deputies Corps. We will make a decision before the second reading," said the Vice-Premier.
