In 2023, 14 channels of illegal arms trafficking were eliminated in Kazakhstan, reports the national portal "Adyrna" with reference to the press service of the National Security Committee (NSC).
"In 2023, the National Security Committee, together with the police and the prosecutor's office, conducted a series of operations to search for and recover weapons stolen from illegal circulation, including during the "January incident". As a result, 14 channels of illegal arms trade and seven shops manufacturing them were destroyed. "51 Kalashnikov assault rifles, 192 shotguns, 165 pistols, 45 grenades, two grenade launchers, 4 pieces of shells and mines, seven explosive devices and 36,870 cartridges of various calibers were seized," the statement said on Tuesday.
