This morning, on December 9, an earthquake struck near Almaty, according to the Seismological Research Institute, reports Adyrna.
“The epicenter of the earthquake was located within Kazakhstan, 742 kilometers southwest of Almaty. The estimated intensity was 2 on the Richter scale in Atakent village, Maktaaral district, Turkistan region,” the statement said.
No casualties or damages have been reported.
