Kazakh tennis player Yelena Rybakina defeated world number one Iga Shventek at the Internazionali BNL d'Italia tournament in Rome, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.
In the ¼ finals of the tournament, our compatriot played against Poland's Iga Schwentek.
In the first set of the match, Shventek won 6:2. However, Rybakina won the second set 7:6. And in the third set, the score was 2:2. However, the first racket of the world refused to continue the game due to injury. The match lasted 2 hours and 22 minutes.
