Kazakhstan’s former president Nursultan Nazarbayev met with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The latest meeting between the political figures took place at the Kremlin in Moscow, Adyrna reports.
A video released by the Russian president’s press service shows the two politicians seated at a round table. The official statement did not provide detailed information about the agenda or the issues discussed, noting only that the meeting took place.
“Such a meeting at the table is a sign of great trust and very good relations. Previously, this level of honor was accorded to Chinese President Xi Jinping and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko,” TASS reported.
It is worth noting that since stepping down from the presidency in 2019, Nursultan Nazarbayev has regularly visited Vladimir Putin once or twice a year. Their previous meeting took place on May 29, 2025.
