Seven people were arrested on suspicion of committing this crime. The roles of each of them are clearly defined.
- A 24-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man living with her tried to sell her six-day-old daughter. It was revealed that the couple started looking for buyers for their unborn child two months ago. Residents of Almaty wanted to take the child - a 48-year-old man named U. and a 46-year-old woman named E.. The parties agreed on 2 millions tenge. The deal was made last weekend. However, a special operation conducted simultaneously by the Criminal Police and Organized Crime Departments in different parts of the city foiled the plan of the suspects. The girl's biological parents were among the first to be arrested. Then there are potential buyers and married brokers. The next step was to arrest the 56-year-old citizen named A., who took upon himself the task of processing the child's documents for a monetary reward, said Didar Akhanov, Deputy Chief of the Almaty City Police Department.
