The United Nations has highlighted the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria and they informed that 850,000 children have been left homeless. A month has passed since the disaster "overwhelmed the fate of mankind", and the homeless children have no place to go. They are still in need of humanitarian aid, the national portal "Adyrna" reported.

According to UNICEF children's fund, about two thousand children were forced to live in temporary shelters. The exact number of dead and injured as a result of the strong earthquake that occurred in Turkey and Syria on February 6 is still unknown.

UNICEF experts sounded the alarm. According to them, thousands of children are still living in difficult conditions. They are in dire need of help, including psychological help.

"Families who were forced to leave their homes due to the earthquake have been trying to survive for four weeks. They can be said to be desperate as the tremors continue," said Afshan Khan, UNICEF Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia.
