School principals and teachers are criminally liable if they receive gifts. This was stated by the Department of the Anti-Corruption Action Agency for Almaty region, the correspondent of "Adyrna" reported.
"Secondary education is provided free of charge in Kazakhstan. Fees are strictly prohibited in all schools. Despite this, the Anti-corruption service in Almaty region received more than 20 applications on the facts of fees in schools through the 1424 call-center. At the same time, the department was reminded about the responsibility for the mentioned illegal actions," said the board.
The department noted that administrative and criminal responsibility was provided for illegal material reward and bribery.
